John J. Gelshenen co-founded Davis & Gelshenen LLP in 2002 and has been practicing law for over 20 years. He is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin, Illinois, and North Carolina. John has been recognized as a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and SuperLawyers. He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin, North Carolina State Bar, and Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
John has worked for one of the nation’s largest insurance law firms, where he gained valuable knowledge about insurance strategies. He uses that background daily in his defense of real estate professionals and personal injury victims.
John earned his Juris Doctor (law degree) from the Hamline University School of Law, St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was the President of the Monroe Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta. While at Hamline, John was a dual degree candidate, completing work toward a master’s degree in business management at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Business. John also studied law abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marquette University, where he was recognized with the Senior Leadership Award.
